Project: Hillcrest Creek widening – Downstream bank protection

Earth Stability was awarded this measure and value project through a competitive tender process.
The project required the installation of 900m² of a slope reinforcement fabric (an alternative to MacMat R), 825 No. ground anchors, 32 No. drilled and grouted micropiles and 18 No. drilled and grouted soilnails.
The site was located along a live water course running along the back boundaries of 26 private residences. As a consequence, the project required collaboration with: Earth Stability's client Auckland Council, the project engineer and in excess of 26 private stakeholders. Earth Stability (and its employees), has an excellent reputation within the industry for the operation of well managed sites, an exemplary work ethic and code of conduct and exceptional communication practices.
The project was carried out over the winter months pursuant to a meticulous methodology that seamlessly provided for (i) health and safety and environmental factors and (ii) the needs of, and open communication with, all affected stakeholders.
The project was completed on time and to budget with zero health and safety incidents, no detrimental impact on the environment and the needs and expectations of ALL stakeholders were met.
