The work
Hillcrest Creek involved bank protection works downstream of a creek widening, delivered for Auckland Council as a measure and value project awarded through competitive tender.
The project required the installation of 900m² of slope reinforcement fabric, 825 ground anchors, 32 drilled and grouted micropiles and 18 drilled and grouted soil nails.
The works were carried out within a live watercourse during the peak of winter, with access requiring liaising and working from within more than 20 private residences. A detailed methodology was implemented to ensure the needs and expectations of all stakeholders were met.
Work was completed on time and to budget.
